Today has been a good day. I have to work tonight and tomorrow night. That actually makes things a little easier for me. I can keep myself busy and not think about how hungry I am!

- I am 38 years old. I have a wonderful husband, Rudy, who supports me in everything that I do. I have a great family of supporters and of course all of my good, good friends! I love my life! In early May I decided that I am really not happy with my weight. Regardless of all the things that I have tried, nothing seems to work. Rudy and I went to an informational meeting regarding the lap band system and gastic bypass. After much research and many questions, I made the decision to have the lap band done. Having had lots of lower back issues and other health factors, I know that the time is now to do something before I get too old. I want to be able to look back at my life with no regrets. There are many things that I do not do right now because I just don't feel comfortable in my own skin. And so my wonderful journey begins..... my pre operative requirements have all been met and my surgery date is scheduled for September 25, 2008!

You sound so much better today Marcie. That is so good to hear. I am and the girls are here for you to give you support. We love you Marcie and admire what you are about to do. You are the BEST!!!
