We have returned to the land of the Artic!!! Holy cow... what a difference in the weather. Anyhow, we had a GREAT time at Disney. The boys did an awesome job with their performances down there and the weather was beautiful every single day.

So I gained +2 lbs over the last two weeks. I honestly did not count calories or anything else while I was gone! All I did was have fun!! And I am totally OK with it. I am back on track now and I will lose it. Life is going to happen.... this journey is for the rest of my life.... not just for a month or a year.

I believe that having the band did limit me to what I ate. I was not hungry all the time... I was just not choicing to eat the things that I KNEW I should be eating.

I hope that everyone has a great New Year in 2009!! I have great expectations of things to come and I am looking forward to what the future is going to bring.

Hard work and dedication are the keys to success. Enjoy life for what it is.... it is OK to have a "bad" day and not make good food choices. The important thing is just getting back on track!!

About Me

My photo
I am 38 years old. I have a wonderful husband, Rudy, who supports me in everything that I do. I have a great family of supporters and of course all of my good, good friends! I love my life! In early May I decided that I am really not happy with my weight. Regardless of all the things that I have tried, nothing seems to work. Rudy and I went to an informational meeting regarding the lap band system and gastic bypass. After much research and many questions, I made the decision to have the lap band done. Having had lots of lower back issues and other health factors, I know that the time is now to do something before I get too old. I want to be able to look back at my life with no regrets. There are many things that I do not do right now because I just don't feel comfortable in my own skin. And so my wonderful journey begins..... my pre operative requirements have all been met and my surgery date is scheduled for September 25, 2008!
